Professor Pade Aderibigbe Biography compiled by Mr Alli Ibrahim

Pade Aderibigbe was born to the Royal Family of Aderibigbe ruling house. His life has been guided by 3P`s.

The first P stands for Pedagogy.
He started his elementary education at the Methodist Primary School and Native Authority (N.A.) School, Ileogbo. He had his Secondary School Education at Ago-Iwoye Secondary School, Ijebu land, Ogun State in 1954 and Osogbo Grammar School, Osogbo, Osun State.
In furtherance of his educational career, he went to Cooperative College, Ibadan 1960-1961 and became Cooperative Inspector. He proceeded to United Kingdom from 1964-1974. He went to London School of Accountancy Pembroke College, Cambridge University and Ballion Oxford University. He was in University of Ibadan in 1983 to1985. He went to City University, Los Angeles (USA) between 1985 and 1987. He also went to Nigeria Institute of Journalism in 1992.

The second P which acronymises Practice.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1975. To be laconic, he was a Chartered Accountant of England and Wales in 1975. He has taught in different Universities in Nigeria. He started his lecturing career in 1994 at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He has taught in both public and private tertiary institutions such as Obafemi Awolowo University (O.A.U), Ile-Ife and University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) and Babcock University.Prof. Pade bagged his professor in Forensic Accounting in 2007 when he was in Babcock University.

The third P connotes Politics.
He was the Vice Chairman of Iwo East Local government that constitutes the present area of Ayedire Local Government. He contested then as one of the councilors and was elected as the Vice Chairman in 1987. When Ayedire Local Government was created in May 1989 along the line of old Iwo East Local Government, he was one of the first seven Councilors that started Ayedire Local Government. In 1991/1992 when two major political parties of SDP and NRC were formed during Babangida regime, he was appointed as the NRC State Party Chairman in Anambra. Prof.  Pade was conferred with the Chieftaincy Title of “Ebubedike of Anambra” because of his unprecedented performance in putting the political garment of Anambra in order. He propounded DOG HANDLER theory when he was in office as Chairman in Anambra.

He was invited to be the NRC State Chairman in Osun State. This was when he nursed this presidential ambition and for any person to be the presidential flag bearer he must win his ward, Local Government state (option A4). He won his ward, Local Government and won out of five NRC presidential standard bearers in Osun State. He contested in the national presidential Primary election but lost to Bashir Tofa.

Prof. Pade Aderibigbe was conferred the Chieftaincy title of Basorun of Ileogbo on 27th January, 1989. He gave qualified 30 students of Luther King`s College of Ileogbo scholarship in 1989.
